San Francisco - with Fisherman’s Wharf, the Golden Gate Bridge, Chinatown, cable cars and Union Square - is one of our favorite cities. San Juan is one of the oldest cities in the state and the jewell of the missions is California history. The land of our neighbor to the south gave birth to Mission Viejo. Santa Barbara is where Susan went to the university and is a beach town mecca with a charm that is California Pacifico. We have spent time at Avila Beach, to the north. Hiking time with Jack Maddan is always an opportunity to learn the history of Palm Desert and desert plants.
