Description

Lucy Kincaid wants a simple life with a white picket fence, but after Jens crashes into her life, she knows that won't be in the cards.

Still reeling from the deaths of her family, Lucy Kincaid struggles to get her life back on track. But when the short-tempered Jens saves her from an attack, Lucy is swept away to a world that seems infinitely more perilous.

Suddenly, fairytale creatures are no longer make-believe--and more dangerous than she ever imagined. As Lucy delves deeper into this fantastical realm, she encounters oversized garden gnomes, warrior elves, Nøkken, Fossegrimens, and worst of all, sirens with a vendetta. When her life on earth is utterly destroyed, Lucy knows there is no going back. Lucy must hunt down the siren who is targeting everyone she loves, or all of Undraland will go up in flames.

If you love Veronica Roth, Bella Forrest and Cassandra Clare, you'll devour this fast-paced paranormal romance series by USA Today bestselling author Mary E. Twomey.

I kinda despised the weakness of the main character, but loved the rest of the book. So good. I didn't like that she was roommates with a guy (along with a girl). But really enjoyed the other characters and story. Some things were a little obvious, but whatever Totally recommend.

CAUTION: this series will tear you apart! It is so amazing and well-written, but that in and of itself is a curse. I literally pulled my first ever all-nighter (something I used to believe was a sacred ritual only to be enacted to finish an essay due the next day or study for a final I'd totally dropped the ball on) to continue reading the 3rd-7th books. I was so trapped in these books that I would experience a wild mood swing based upon what was happening to Lucy! Also: I suggest cashing in some vacation days when you decide to start reading, because you won't be able to focus on anything other than the plight and crushing indecision the characters must face in the second half of the series. My point is, this book is a gateway drug to a whole series full of problems. You're either in or you're out, but don't go in thinking you can quit when you want. It doesn't work that way. You have been warned!

I felt like Lucy and so confused because I didn't know some of the stuff. It's a good book and I'm on book 5 in my fourth day of reading the series. I recommend it.
