Description

Maggie Phillips hasn’t had it easy. As the wife of retired Navy SEAL, and the adoptive mother of two little hellions, Maggie is constantly looking for ways to improve her family’s financial situation. She accepts a cleaning position for her new neighbors (who redefine the term ‘eccentric’), never imagining she will end up as the sole alibi for a man with a fascination for medieval torture devices when he is brought up on murder charges.

While Maggie struggles to prove the man’s innocence, her deadbeat brother arrives, determined to sell Maggie and Neil on his next great scheme and to mooch with a vengeance. If that isn’t bad enough, her in-laws, (the cut-throat corporate attorneys) descend on the house, armed with disapproval and condemnation, for the family’s annual Thanksgiving celebration.

As the police investigation intensifies, Maggie searches for the killer among the upper echelon of Hudson, Massachusetts in the only way she can— by scrubbing their thrones.

Of the porcelain variety, that is…

A really enjoyable read—laugh out loud funny—one that I’m glad to have had the privilege to review. I look forward to more of Ms. Hart’s work. Excellent!

For starters, the heroine of the story, Maggie, is certifiably nuts. I was a fan of her ever patient husband until he went off on Maggie’s brother at the end. As for the killer? I don’t buy the reason he murdered 3 people. It’s like the author had no idea and picked his name out of a hat. I won’t be buying the remaining books in the series.
  • Good mutders and great characters.

I haven’t laughed out loud in a long time! Good story and outstanding characters. Hoping the heroine gets it together pretty quickly. Other than that good story and laughed my butt off b

I laughed out loud at some of the visuals produced with your words. Some of it was far fetched but your cast of characters was very well developed. I enjoyed the book. Thanks

I’m an entirely crazed reader. Unfortunately also poor, so I thrive of free ebooks. I’ve read some really good ones. This book goes far, far beyond good! It brought a full range of emotions including laughing out loud in a quiet house! If you need a great read start here!
  • Light and fun but foul

The story was light and fun but adding the element of foul language made the book more heavy depressing than it needed to be.
