The purpose of this course is to provide prescribers and other healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to identify and act to avoid or address agitation, inappropriate sedation, and delirium in ICU patients. In addition, members of the public may use this course to enhance their personal knowledge of the subject matter presented.

2. Describe appropriate care of ICU patients receiving opioids.
3. Compare sedatives commonly used in ICU patients.
