Description

It’s Christmas in Sinful and Fortune is set to participate in all the local hoopla. A Christmas gala, caroling, and a sleigh ride are on the agenda. Murder is not. But when someone bumps off Santa, Fortune is aware a killer is lurking among the holiday cheer. But with no client and no reason to interfere with a police investigation, it looks as if Fortune, Ida Belle, and Gertie will have to sit this one out.

Big and Little Hebert might be criminals, but they prefer no competition in their territory, especially someone brazen enough to kill a man at the Christmas gala. When they hire Fortune to investigate the man’s death, she gets her Christmas wish and Swamp Team 3 sets out to solve their final case of the year.

I have enjoyed each book in the Fortune series, and this one is no exception. How wonderful it is to take these journeys in Louisiana with intelligent, competent, and hilarious female characters of different ages.

I’ve been working my way through all these Sinful mysteries and just love them. The characters are so likable and there is so much good, totally outlandish stuff going on that I have trouble setting these stories down. Highly recommended.

Another excellent book about Fortune Redding! The story is about the holidays in Sinful and what they do to celebrate! Gertie’s parrot steals the show but it is the murder of Santa Claus that the story is all about. Yes, we have humor, romance but an awesome mystery full of action and plot twists. The best is the way Fortune figures it all out! You will like how the book ends because the next book will carry on!
