I loved this book‼️ I only wish we knew what happened with their lives within those 20 years! Like how did Tuck get on his feet? What did the children finally do to find happiness!

The story rings true because much of it is formed from past events chronicled in the News. The author did well in presenting an aspect of Texas culture without overdoing the twang. The Christian influence is present, but not intrusive.

What a story - got started and could not put it down. Not only well written but the story is fantastic. So true to so many things in life. Thank you for a great read.

I truly enjoyed the book but I had trouble accepting that the main character would have so easily adjust to working at the age of 49 given that she led such a privileged life up until her world change. Plus that fact she started her own business. That’s extremely challenging if you don’t have any background in ever working or business.

Started out fairly well, but then turned into a book all about “God’s love.” That’s fine, but if you’re not in the mood, read some else.

But it was beyond boring. I couldn’t even finish it. I don’t ever remember not finishing a book before. The problem I found was the author just went on and on about nothing interesting. It was a very bland story of a woman making a new life in a new place but there was no intrigue, no romance and basically a story that just went on and on without getting anywhere and with a lot of repetition of the same thing over and over.

Compelling read from beginning to end. The author’s command of descriptive language draws the reader right into the heart of the story. I was personally mesmerized !!!
