Another twisty, clever tale on the Knox & Sheppard “sisters.” These women are so damaged from their childhoods that their pasts still mar their presents, but at least they’re progressing slowly but surely. I did not understand why so much of the book was taken up with Madigan’s obsessive search until near the end of the story. There’s too much “pursing of lips” and “smirking.” But the dialogue and descriptions are mostly believable. I’m rooting for these gals!

This was fantastic and full of suspense. Foster sisters going through their lives and hiding their emotions become involved in a net of criminal activity. They eventually come together and solve their many problems. Great read.
