This is a painting that I’ve been deeply moved by a documentary movie based on a real story - A living TARZAN by Alvaro Cerezo. It’s about a boy in Vietnam, Ho Van Lang, who has fled the Vietnam war with his father and hidden in the deepest jungle of Quang Ngai province in Tay Tra district for 40 years. Isolated completely from the rest of the world, they built tree houses, dressed in tree bark and used a variety of jungle delicacies for dinner, including fruits, honey and meats in the form of snake, lizard and frog.
