It's clear to me the power brokers of the PGA jumped on the opportunity to fire Ted Bishop for past sins or slights. Bishop's book confirms the PGA and USGA are a pompous group of men who take themselves way to seriously. Over the years Phil has proven time and again he is the most interesting and beloved golfer in the game. For Tom Watson to refer to the team as "prima donna's" tells you all you need to know about his attitude go ing into the Ryder Cup. The book is a quick and interesting read. I was left with the feeling there is another version of what led up to his firing that needs to be told.
