The best thing to being an intelligent person is having people think you’re intelligent. The wonderful news is that you don’t have to learn unnecessarily long words (like SUBDERMATOGLYPHIC) to come across as more intelligent of course there are things you can do to become brainier; going to college springs to mind.
Smart people have reasons for thinking what they do, and they'll usually tell you about it. If you don't have enough logic behind your opinion to talk to someone about it, that's also informative for you; it tells you that you need to go back and think some more about the situation.
So what kind of words are on this list? They are real words. Words that you can actually use in conversation and writing that do sound smart, but not ostentatious.
